All correspondence(s) in respect of package tours/ other services bookings should be addressed to Routes India.
Payments and Refunds:
The booking is accepted on full advance payment in Indian Rupees, covering the cost of tickets through a Bank Draft drawn in favor of Routes India, payable at Rishikesh or through wire transfer to our bank or by cash payment in our office on first come first served basis.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of the tourists leaving the tour midway due to personal reasons, no claim for refund of money either full or part will not be entertained by the management. In the event of cancellation of tour/ other services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons, we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing. Refund amount would be as follows:
- 15 or more days before the starting date: 80% of the cost
- 9 or 14 days before the starting date: 60% of cost
- 6 to 8 days before the starting date: 50% of cost
- 5 days before the starting date or event of "No Show": No Refund.
Refund will be made after producing original cash receipt and cancellation charges will be deducted on the full amount of the ticket. Written cancellation will accept on all our working days, except Sunday. Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on our next working day. For the Christmas and New Year period from 20 December to 10 January the payment is non-refundable. In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund. The postponement of the seat is not possible within no refund period i.e. 05 days before the departure date of tour. Postponement of seat for next tour date will be allowed for a legitimate reason only. In case of postponement, an amount of 20 % of the tariff shall be imposed. No refund will be made in the eventuality of the tour, being cancelled Scheduled/Additional tour due to natural calamities, beyond the control of management.
Wildlife Safaris cancellation:
All the wildlife safaris booked into any of national park/ sanctuaries are non refundable. Even date change request will be considered as cancellation and no payment will be refunded/ adjusted against it.
Transport
In the package tours conducted by Routes India the transport arrangements will be made available by 27 seater coach, 12 seater coach, cabs etc.
Package tours are being organized on availability of a minimum number of seats which are given below:
2X2, 27 Seater Coach – 17 Seats Min.
2×1, 12 Seater Coach – 08 Seats Min.
Cab front face – 04 Seats Min.
In the event of inadequate booking, the tour will either may be canceled and in such case money will be refunded or reserved for the next available tour, depending upon the tourist desire.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/ service cost, if there are any hike in entrance fees of monuments/ museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra. Routes India act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and check out time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any "Act of The God", dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
Please Note : We will not be responsible for any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc.
General
Some of the Treks, as per the itinerary, involve a continuous ascent of gradual and steep gradients. Treks are through dense forests, ascending valleys, encountering towering waterfalls. Most of the people enjoy walking these distances but the old and infant may find it strenuous. Dandies (local Palanquin) and ponies are available and the charges will have to bear all the expenses by the travelers/tourists.
Our Tour Manager service will start from the First destination of the tour as mentioned in the itinerary.
Our Inclusive Meals service will start on Day 1 at Final arrival destination till the departure from the last destination as per the itinerary.
We do not provide meal service during Air travel or during transit halt.
If your tour is cancelled due to government travel restrictions, your deposit and any progress payments will be carried forward as full credit towards future travel with us with Zero fees.
If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. Routes India will endeavor to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use.
If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. Routes India will endeavor to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use.
If you have to amend or cancel the tour from 30 days before the tour start date to the end date of the tour, any cost arising from it will be your liability and payable by you within 24 hours of amendment.
If the tour needs to be amended or cancelled due to sickness or covid related reason, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. Routes India will endeavor to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use. Luggage: You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to domestic airline, default Check-in luggage is 15 kg and Carry-on luggage is 7 kg.
Fitness Level Required / Mobility: You are vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so, unfortunately, our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. Please note: A general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
Tourists are advised to bring torch, raincoat, heavy woolen clothes and medicine as per their doctor’s advice to meet their primary needs.
Foreign tourist in any of the scheduled package tour are prohibited to stay at Harsil or any other place with the Department of Defense's restrictions.
Tourists availing L.T.C. facility (Only in Transport Head) will be provided with due travel certificate against the amount of transportation charges after completion of the tour only.
Tourists are advised not to carry cooking gas cylinder and other inflammable items as it is strictly prohibited to carry such items in tourist vehicles.
Prices may vary as per tour date, season and availability
PAN is Mandatory against cash payment exceeding Rs.50,000/-
The estimate package tour fair exclude any government taxes applicable from time to time
5% GST is applicable to the package cost.
Standard check in time at the hotels is 12 PM and check out time is 9 AM.
The Vehicle will be available only till 8 PM.
Meals other than those specified are an exclusion to the package.
Vehicles will be provided as per the group size.
ACs don't work in Hilly Areas as the climate is moderate.
Hotels are subject to availability and if they are unavailable, guests will be accommodated in similar property.
Monument entry fee and camera charges are not included in the package.
Children above 5 years of age will be considered as adults only. There are no charges for children below 5 years of age.
All international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover is not a part of the package.
Govt. Approved ID is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
NRI / Foreign nationals – Mandatory Passport + Valid Indian visa / OCI card / PIO card
Govt. of India approved ID proof is mandatory at the time of booking and carry the same ID proof on tour as well
Prices might greatly vary on Blackout Dates(special dates like Diwali, Christmas, New Years, etc). In order to get the best rates for these days you can connect with us directly.
The prices may vary based on the season time and the number of travelers travelling per day in a specific region as there is limited hotel availability in hilly areas.
Any deviation from the planned route of vehicle at customer's request during the tour will be chargeable on per Km. basis.
Any breakage or damage of any items at the hotels/resorts/camps will be charged at actual.
Personal expenses like portages, tips, laundry, mineral water etc. will not be accommodated in the package cost.
Routes India reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbances that might occur (i.e. severe weather conditions, political unrest or others).
Any rescheduling/rearrangement of package due to circumstances beyond Routes India control might invite additional charges for hotels and/or vehicle.
In case a traveler wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onward will be borne by the traveler. Neither the operator nor Routes India will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
The extra adventure activities and rope-ways/cable cars will be at your own cost and are not included in the tour unless specified exclusively in the inclusions of the product.
Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travelers littering may be fined.
The driver might turn off the AC on hilly terrains as it might become difficult to drive on such roads.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants' safety, comfort & general well being.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Tourists are advised to seek such insurance arrangements on their own. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client's responsibility.
Rights of Routes India
In case of difference of opinion between parties and Routes India officials, the decision of Managing Director Routes India shall be final and binding to both the sides. Any disputes, claim or legal proceedings between the tourists & Routes India shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court of District Dehradun (Uttarakhand) only within 90 days as per rules.
In the event of tour break down on account of natural calamities or any kind of unforeseen events en-route, alternate arrangement for tourists to the next destination as per tour program will be made through locally available transport.
The above terms & conditions are subject to suitable revision, addition & alterations as per the decision of the management at any time without prior notification.
